Rating Scale The rating scale goes from 1 (the worst) to 10 (the best). 0 means not applicable or not available and will not count for the average reader rating. Categories Animation This category takes visual, presentation, art, animation, and aesthetic quality of the anime into account. Sound This category encompasses both the quality of and the usage of music and sound effects in the anime. Voice acting (original Japanese voice) also counts for this category whenever possible. Story This category encompasses story and plot quality of the anime. Sometimes first impression, conclusion, and originality also counts for this category. This category is subjective to genre of the anime. Character This category takes character's design and character's development of the anime into account. Mechanical design sometimes also counts for this category whenever possible. Value This category takes the value of the anime into account. This is including re-watch value, collectable value, and the quality of translation and subtitle for both fansub or commercial product if applicable. Enjoyment This category reflects the overall impression for the anime. High rating in this category despite low rating on other categories means the reviewer is likely to recommend this anime to other people. This category is totally OBJECTIVE to the reviewer. Ask this question "Did I enjoy the show?" when you are reviewing an anime. |
